The Premier League weekend kicked off at Turf Moor as Burnley came from behind to beat Everton and end a run of 11 league matches without a victory.

January signing Cenk Tosun gave Everton a 20th-minute lead, but second half goals from Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood condemned the visitors to their sixth loss in nine games in 2018.

Everton remain tenth in the table, but they're now only a point above Bournemouth and performances under manager Sam Allardyce seemed to have dropped off in recent weeks.

The Toffees have lost three of their last four league games, and their fans are absolutely fuming with what Allardyce did during his post-match interview following the Burnley defeat.

Big Sam under pressure at Everton

Big Sam replaced Ronald Koeman as Everton boss back in November, but fans have grown frustrated with the team's style of play and they could still be dragged into a relegation scrap.

After the 2-1 loss on Saturday, Allardyce was asked by a Sky Sports reporter for his thinking behind taking off Gylfi Sigurdsson for Yannick Bolasie in the 83rd-minute.

During his question, the interviewer mentioned Everton supporters, saying: "Some Everton fans voiced their frustration towards the end when you substituted him, you brought Bolasie on."

As you can see in the video below, upon hearing about the fans' frustrations to his decision, 63-year-old Allardyce smiled and smirked.

Everton fans want Allardyce out

As you can imagine, Big Sam's facial expressions after what was a disappointing defeat has led to an almighty backlash among Everton supporters.
