Jose Mourinho's Manchester United came from two goals down to beat Crystal Palace 3-2 at Selhurst Park on Monday night.

Serbian international Nemanja Matic scored a stunning stoppage time winner to break Palace hearts.

The 30-year-old defensive midfielder - who signed from Chelsea in the summer - was yet to find the back of the net in a Man United shirt.

"It was a nice goal," Matic said on Sky Sports. "When I received the ball and it bounced I knew it was going to be a good shot but I didn't know it would be a goal.

"I'm happy to score my first goal, I know it's not my job but I'm happy to score and happy that we won the three points."

Matic was booked for celebrating the goal with the travelling away support.

The dramatic victory took United back above Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool into second - and the two sides will face off at Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime.

"It's going to give us a lot of confidence because when you win the game it's always easier to go in to the next one," Matic told Sky Sports.

"It's always important to win, especially when you have derby games coming up. I'm happy that we go in to the Liverpool game with these three points."

Crystal Palace steward caught celebrating Matic's winner

An amazing moment, which most viewers missed watching at home, was shared on social media after the full-time whistle.

A Crystal Palace steward was caught on Sky Sports celebrating Matic's stoppage time winner with the United players.

The steward looked down the camera and realised he had made a big mistake on live TV.

What happened immediately after the steward went to celebrate

Immediately upon leaving his post to celebrate the goal, a jubilant Man United fan can be seen tumbling out the stand exactly where the steward was supposed to be.

Absolutely hilarious! Watch the footage below.

It has to be one of the worst stewarding performances of the season - but he just couldn't resist getting involved in the mess.

The steward even admitted that he was a United fan after the game.
