The Philadelphia Eagles have set their asking price that any NFL team interested in Nick Foles will have to meet if they want to trade for the Super Bowl-winning quarterback this offseason. While the asking price is high, it might not be out of the realm of possibility for some teams in the league.

Foles added himself to the list of quarterbacks who could be playing for a new team at the start of next season after an impressive display in Super Bowl LII against the New England Patriots in Minneapolis at the start of last month.

Despite being a backup for most of the season, the 29-year-old could be one of the most sought-after quarterbacks this offseason due to how well he played when he stepped in under center for the Eagles after start Carson Wentz went down with an injury during 2017, as well as the fact he helped the franchise win their first-ever Super Bowl title.

With what he has managed to achieve when the pressure was on, plus the fact he's still under contract in Philadelphia for another season, and the several quarterback-needy teams in the NFL this offseason means the Eagles have placed a high price tag on their backup.

According to Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports, Eagles are starting Nick Foles trade negotiations at a first-round pick and a fourth-round pick, the same price which they got from the Minnesota Vikings for Sam Bradford almost two years ago.

While it's understandable as to why Philadelphia has set such a high asking price for Foles, but it's also clear why several teams might not be interested in paying that price for a player who was almost out of the league not too long ago.

The fear amongst some NFL teams would be that Foles is unable to replicate the success he had with the Eagles in a new location and that the Super Bowl win only came because of the circumstances surrounding him. He's not exactly odds-on to repeat that success, even in Philly.

The Eagles are going to do right by Foles too for what he has done and send him somewhere where he can start and where he'll be treated properly. Plus, there's the factor the team isn't actively looking to trade him away. There are a lot of factors coming into play in this situation.

If no one budges in their demands, especially the Eagles with their asking price, then more than likely, Foles will stay put in Philadelphia.
