Juventus just seem to know how to handle the UEFA Champions League, don't they?Needing two second-half goals at Wembley to avoid crashing out of the last-16 to Tottenham, after Son Heung-min's finish left them trailing 3-2 on aggregate, not once did the Italians ever panic. It almost looked half-hearted the way they continued to pass the ball around the back and not rush, but when Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala struck twice in the space of three minutes, there was only ever going to be one winner.Juve have reached two of the last three finals for a reason, and the experience they've gained as a result enables them to get through testing situations like last night. No one can argue that Spurs were by far the better team on the night, and over the two legs as well, but the visitors' defence held firm when they needed to, meaning another trophy opportunity has gone for Mauricio Pochettino. With stalwarts Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli at centre-half, the Italians were rigid and compact, and celebrated throwing themselves in front of shots and crosses as if they were goals. When Chiellini hoofed the ball off the line after Harry Kane had struck the post in the dying moments, he and Gianluigi Buffon reacted as if he'd just scored a 25-yarder in the final.Defending is an art, and it is brilliant to see a team like that taking such pride in it.It was a hugely emotional night for Italian football too, with the game marking the first for any Serie A side since the tragic death of Fiorentina captain Davide Astori, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 31.All of the day's fixtures were postponed as a result, and the grief was plain to see on the faces of Astori's international team-mates when a minutes' silence was held before kick-off.And after the match, Chiellini gave a poignant tribute to his friend in an interview with BT Sport, while seeming to fight back the tears, which you can see below.Chiellini's Tribute to Astori

Chiellini revealed he's cried "many times" about the loss of his friend, and the emotion on his face is plain to see.

The pair featured together for the national team over a six-year spell, during which time Astori collected 14 caps.

Fiorentina have since announced in a very classy gesture that they would pay Astori's contract for life, with the money going to his wife and son that he left behind.

His death has well and truly shocked the footballing world, and it shows how precious life is.

And with Chiellini dedicating not only their performance, but their minds every day to Astori, he will have been proud of their rock-solid defence to protect Juve's lead.

Having initially struggled in the first half against Kane & co, the Italian was brilliant in the last 45 minutes and showed just why he is rated as one of the best defenders in the world.

Thanks to their win, Juventus joined Manchester City, Liverpool and Real Madrid in the hat for the quarter-final draw which will be made a week on Friday.
