Whether you're a fan of golf or not, everyone around the world knows who Tiger Woods is.Arguably the greatest to ever play the game, his accomplishments are second to none, and he is one of the most recognisable athletes in the world. He has had his fair share of controversy too, but as of late has been on the comeback trail. After undergoing spinal fusion surgery last year, he got back in full swing, and recently got a lot of attention for his performance at the Valspar Championship. The 42-year-old is finding himself in contention with his best performance in quite some time, as he remains in contention to win after two rounds. He is currently two shots off the lead on -4 but has already impressed with a series of impressive strokes this week and at one point even held a share of the lead.During his first round, a 12-foot birdie putt on the second hole put Woods in the lead, and it wasn't long before the world heard the news.Later in the day, Woods rolled back the years on the 16th by pulling off an extremely risky recovery shot from, ironically, within the woods. And not helped by the incredibly awkward positioning of a large tree too.As you can see below, Woods' arm and hands smacked against the tree as part of his follow-through - forcing him to let go of the club.

Although he didn't quite find the fairway, the American managed to get close enough to the green to be able to save par.

That's the Tiger golf fans have missed and hopefully just a sign of things to come.
