After the conclusion of the trade deadline, it was reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers had failed in a late attempt to secure a deal for Los Angeles Clippers star DeAndre Jordan. With the big man set to hit free agency in the summer, and having already traded Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, it was believed that the Clippers were in discussions with multiple teams to offload the center too.The Cavs engaged in trade talks with L.A. but were unable to conclude a deal.On Friday night, that decision came back to haunt them and benefited the Clippers hugely as he produced a monster display against Cleveland. In a 116-102 win at Staples Center, Jordan posted a huge stat line of 20 points and 23 rebounds and showed the Cavaliers exactly what they missed out on.The All-Star was a beast in the paint and was a dominant figure all night. He shot 6-of-12 from the field and also tallied one steal and one block. The 29-year-old also produced one of the best plays of the game as he added another terrific highlight to his personal collection. In the final minutes of the third quarter, Jordan received a pass from Lou Williams at the top of the key and immediately spun away from Larry Nance Jr. who made the mistake of trying to go for the steal.

This allowed the Clippers man a free run to the basket and he took full advantage as he incredibly took off from the free-throw line and soared for a nasty 'Air Jordan' dunk.

He definitely did his namesake proud with this brilliant throw down.

Before the game, LeBron James admitted that the addition of DJ would've given the Cavs a "boost" and he must've wished he was producing this type of display in a Wine and Gold uniform instead.

"I don't play fantasy basketball," James said, per Cleveland.com. "I knew the conversations were going on from the outside. I seen it. If it would have happened it would have gave us a boost but it didn't happen so you move on."

The future of the All-NBA man in Los Angeles is still up in the air but he does have a $24.1 million player option for next season if he chooses to opt-in and remain with the franchise.

He recently said that he's hoping to stay with the team and spend the next 10 years with them.

It'll be interesting to see if the Clippers are as committed to him and ultimately decide to re-sign him to a long-term deal.

With averages of 11.9 points, 15.9 rebounds and 1.0 block per game, he is proving that he's still hugely productive and there's no doubt that he'll have several suitors if he chooses to leave Tinseltown.
