Louis Dodds has become the latest Port Vale player to pen a new deal with the club.

The forward has signed a two-year contract, committing to the Burslem outfit until the end of the 2011/12 campaign.

Dodds, 23, is the sixth man to sign new terms since the end of the season after Anthony Griffith, Chris Martin, John McCombe, Kris Taylor and Lewis Haldane.

Star striker Marc Richards, who bagged 22 goals last term, now remains the only player still mulling over his contract offer.

Meanwhile, Vale have announced home pre-season friendlies against Aberdeen on Tuesday July 27 and Walsall on Saturday July 31.
