WrestleMania 34 is now only three weeks away, but there's plenty to be settled leading up to the big night.

Of course, a number of huge matches have already been set. The main event sees Roman Reigns take on Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.

The WWE Championship match has also been confirmed - with AJ Styles defending his title in a dream bout against Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura.

Ronda Rousey will also make her WWE debut at "the Show of Shows". She partners Kurt Angle in a mixed tag-team match against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Although the commissioner of Monday Night Raw has her match - the commissioner of Smackdown Live doesn't.

Shane McMahon has been involved in a long-running feud with two of his brand's top heels - Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

The pair have been locking horns with their boss for months - but after events on last week's Smackdown, it seemed that McMahon could finally be walking away.

On the March 13 show, he announced he was taking a leave of absence after announcing a match between Owens and Zayn at WrestleMania.

However, before he could leave, the pair attacked him in the ring and backstage, with Smackdown showing McMahon being put in a neck brace on a stretcher before going off the air.

Due to those events, it's possible that WWE could be building up to Owens and Zayn vs McMahon and a partner at WrestleMania.

And ahead of a potential showdown on April 8, the commissioner needs to find himself a partner.

The WWE Universe would love to see Smackdown's General Manager Daniel Bryan pair with McMahon - but of course, there are complications to that suggestion.

Bryan has not wrestled since April 2015 and was forced to announce his retirement in February 2016 - due to a number of major injuries.

He has since been battling with the WWE to get clearance to return to in-ring action - but he has not yet succeeded.

However, Bryan was asked this week about potentially pairing with McMahon against Owens and Zayn - and he gave an interesting answer.

"I don’t know and I don’t think they know. I think it all depends on whether or not I get cleared," he told thenational.ae, per NoDQ.com

"As of this moment, as of today, I am not cleared by WWE. I have done everything in my power. Everything they have asked me to and I have gone above and beyond.

"So far every doctor has cleared me that they have sent me too and so there is a chance.

"With how everything is there is one way to go if I don’t get cleared [storyline wise] and then there is another way to go if I am cleared. I am hoping to be cleared but I don’t know which way it goes.”
