Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell is hoping to persuade Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall to commit their future to Bournemouth for a future 12 months.

The management duo, who guided the Cherries to promotion from Coca-Cola League Two this season, have two years left to run on their existing contracts.

But Mitchell told the Daily Echo: "We are in talks to extend their contracts. I have asked them to consider signing for another 12 months but we have got to negotiate the terms. We are very keen to keep them."

Mitchell also revealed the club have agreed terms with players ahead of the new season but they are waiting for the Football League to sanction the deals.

"We have spoken to and agreed terms with people we want to sign and it is now down to the Football League to sanction them. Until they do that, we can't go public with any names."
