Deontay Wilder is set to be at ringside during Anthony Joshua's upcoming fight against Joseph Parker on March 31 at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.

However, ahead of the exciting unification clash, the 32-year-old American has been told by both Joshua and Eddie Hearn not to enter the ring after the fight concludes if there is no deal in place for Wilder to face AJ in the future.

Wilder had hoped to confront the Brit as a means to get the crowd hyped up and generate more interest in the rivalry, as he did with the likes of Luis Ortiz and Tyson Fury.

The WBC champ is predominantly in Cardiff to provide analysis for Sky Sports but it would appear any personal agenda he might have for being in attendance will have to be put on hold.

Wilder's trainer and manager Jay Deas was asked for his opinion on the disagreement and unsurprisingly sided with his man.

Deas has revealed Wilder wants to confront Joshua and publically question whether the Brit really wants to face him.

"I think it's laughable they don't want Deontay in the ring after the fight," Deas told World Boxing News.

"They know he will ask Joshua to his face, in front of his fans and a worldwide TV audience the question everyone wants Joshua to answer should he win. That question is, 'Do you want to give the fans why they want and fight me?' The second question is, 'Will it be our next fight?'

"Deontay isn't putting anyone in front of Joshua, so Joshua shouldn't put anyone in front of Deontay. It's the final four. Wilder-Ortiz, Joshua-Parker. Wilder won and if Joshua wins, it's only right the two should fight next!

"You don't get to the final two in football, basketball or any other sport then have one say, 'well we're going to play this other team first' - nonsense!

"The fight won't get bigger than it will be right now, should Joshua win."

Deas also probed the question as to with whom the authority lies with in the Joshua-Hearn relationship while highlighting the fact that it's Wilder who pulls all the strings within their own hierarchy.

He continued: "On our team, Deontay is the boss and he insisted we get Ortiz and so we did. So the question is, who is the boss on Team Joshua? Does Eddie work for AJ or does AJ work for Eddie?

"I personally don't believe AJ is Eddie's puppet. I think AJ is his own man, a great champion who wants to fight the best. I hope I'm right and that he tells Eddie to make the fight. He has the power to do just that."

"Deontay vs AJ, it's the biggest fight in boxing. We don't need another Lennox Lewis v Riddick Bowe super-fight that we never got to see. The sport needs it to happen and now."

"We want the fight. It's a great contest, a historic contest. We want the fight. I'll say it a third time. We want the fight - do they?"
