Sweden, who got past Italy to reach the 2018 World Cup, hosted Chile, who surprising failed to qualify for this summer's tournament, at the Friends Arena on Saturday evening. The game was won in the 90th-minute as Manchester United's Alexis Sanchez saw his effort saved, only for the ball to rebound to substitute Marcos Bolados, who made it 2-1.However, the friendly sparked into life in the 22nd-minute with what can only be described as a moment of absolute magic from Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal. The 30-year-old, who is approaching 100 caps for his country, lined up alongside Charles Aranguiz in the middle of the park and opened the scoring in some style.Alexis' corner was headed away by Sweden, but only as far as Vidal, and with barely any time at all to react or to re-position his body, the all-action man produced a ridiculously good strike.

Vidal scores amazing goal v Sweden

As you can see in the video below, the ball wouldn't settle for Vidal, but that didn't stop him from jumping up into the air and blasting an unstoppable volley into the top corner of the goal.

The Bayern Munich star has been regarded for quite some time now as one of the world's best midfielders, but he's definitely not known for scoring goals as incredible as this one.

Fans react to Vidal's wonderstrike

Football fans on Twitter who saw Vidal's top-class strike against Sweden were in awe of the Chilean's effort, with some even comparing it's kung-fu style to Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

When you add this quality of goal to his work-rate, defensive awareness and technical ability in the final third, Vidal may just be the most complete central midfielder around right now.

As mentioned, Chile won't be at the World Cup but they will look to build on their 2-1 victory against Sweden when they travel to play Denmark on Tuesday.
