Back in 2001, tag team wrestling was changing forever.Edge and Christian became seven-time WWE Tag Team champions. Their eternal rivals, The Hardy Boyz were reaching newfound levels of fame and the Dudley Boyz had established themselves in the WWE as a completely different entity.Edge and Christian, two Canadians who were also brothers in kayfabe, had become synonymous with putting opponents on the shelf with con-chair-tos - a manoeuvre that saw them bash their opponents' skull with chairs from both sides. The Hardy Boyz had become famous for their high-flying moves and penchant for getting creative with ladders while the Dudleyz brought some ECW/hardcore flavour to the WWE with their love for putting people through tables. It was the perfect storm and while the booking was the right cocktail of ingredients, it seemed like a totally organic moment when then-Raw general manager Mick Foley announced the very first Tables, Ladders and Chairs match at SummerSlam 2000.The WWE Universes' collective minds were blown with what those six men did in the inaugural TLC. So, it came as no surprise that Vince McMahon wanted to have them do it all again at a stacked WrestleMania 17 in 2001.If you watch the highlights below, you see some moves that the WWE fans had never laid eyes on before - it was utter carnage in the best possible way.

Now, Edge is a WWE Hall of Famer, the Hardyz are back in the WWE after over six years away and the Dudley Boyz are going into the Hall of Fame this year, with Edge and Christian inducting them. Beautiful.

There have only been five tag team TLC matches since 2001 and none of those - or any other TLC match - have taken place at WrestleMania since. You could say it would be hard to ever top the 2001 iteration of the match, but enough time has passed now where someone should attempt it.

And it seems like three teams on SmackDown Live are primed to do just that. The Usos and The New Day have had the best tag team rivalry in a decade bar none. They have the same electrifying chemistry that Edge and Christian had with the Hardy Boyz - it's been magic.

Then you have the Bludgeon Brothers - Luke Harper and Erick Rowan - who are the Dudley Boyz of the equation. Heavy hitting brutalisers who bring something different to the table - no pun intended - than the other teams in the mix.

These guys should have a triple-threat TLC match for the SD Live Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans. The Usos have never featured on the main card of WrestleMania and they have been with the company for eight years now - that's criminal.

The Usos and New Day deserve this moment to bookend their own feud before one team moves over to Raw and it's the best way to showcase the destruction the Bludgeon Brothers can cause.

The stage is ready to see a match like this again and with no ladder match or anything like it on the card, the time is right to let these deserving teams make history.
