INCREDIBLE 30 SECONDS OF FOOTBALL

But it was a 30-second spell of football in the second-half that wowed fans.

A beautiful passage of play by Spain saw Jordi Alba provide a low cross for Isco. However, the Real Madrid star’s finish from five-yards out was incredibly saved by Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

But the ball was still in play and Germany launched a counter-attack.

Thomas Muller’s superb cross-field pass to Timo Werner opened up the play and had the Spanish defenders scrambling back towards their own goal.

TWO WORLD-CLASS SAVES

Werner’s cross was blocked but Germany kept the ball alive with Julian Draxler teeing up Ilkay Gundogan on the edge of the box. However, his side-footed effort was expertly saved by David de Gea.

Two brilliant passing moves, two world-class saves. Thirty-seconds of football that summed up International football at its finest. Take a look:

Ahead of the World Cup, Germany are rated favourites by many bookmakers - narrowly ahead of Brazil. Meanwhile, Spain are considered fourth favourites behind France.

But there’s no doubt that all four nations will think they have every chance of going all the way in Russia this summer.
