With Daniel Bryan now officially cleared by WWE to return to in-ring competition, it’s obvious that things are going to change in the company.

The immediate focus rightfully falls on WrestleMania 34 where the current SmackDown LIVE general manager is expected to team up with Shane McMahon to take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a tag team match.

IN-RING RETURN

There’s been a lot of talk about his schedule, the tests he’s going to take part in after each match, the dream matches that can finally now take place in a WWE ring along with his contract status.

RETURN

Obviously, Hogan - as big of a legend as he is - won’t be welcomed back with open arms right off the bat and it’s why Mark Henry also recently admitted that he’s not ready for Hogan to return right now.

Speaking about the potential return, Henry said: "He’s a public figure. It doesn’t mean that everything that he’s done is forgiven, you just gotta take the good with the bad and see how you could help the situation.

"I’m sitting on the chair of the delegation and they’re not ready. I’ve had many talks, with dozens of guys, and the consensus is there’s a lot of work to be done to heal that wound and to fix that wall.”

This is largely down to the much-publicised comments he made over a recorded phone call a few years back. Hogan's image was dented by the Gawker trial and that could bring some negative press back with him to WWE, if and when they decide to pull the trigger on a return, especially since they acted quickly to erase all association with him when his comments came to fruition some years ago.

With Bryan no longer being the general manager, the safe assumption to make is that Kurt Angle might not be in that role either, depending on how his storyline with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H unfolds at WrestleMania.

If Hogan does return, though, then WWE needs to brace themselves for whatever reaction might come their way.
