All that really mattered after Dillian Whyte's victory over Lucas Browne on Saturday night was that the Australian was safe and well. The 38-year-old was already suffering from a badly cut eye when he was knocked out by a left hook in the sixth round.Sky Sports decided against replaying the brutal blow, such were the concerns for Browne's welfare.Medics managed to get him on his feet and he was eventually wheeled away while being given oxygen.Of course, there are two sides to every boxing match, and for Whyte, he now has his eyes set on challenging Deontay Wilder.Even so, the British heavyweight was visibly worried by the damage he'd inflicted on his opponent. The next morning, 'Big Daddy' tweeted to confirm he'd been given the all clear and in a touch of class, Whyte responded with the following:

Understandably, it has taken Browne a little while longer to fully come to terms with the manner of his defeat.

On Monday, he took to Instagram to hint at some of the reasons behind his performance, revealing a very human side that perhaps boxing fans don't always take into account.

Browne gives another update

Check it out below:

Candid, open, and honest - great to see.

Given his age, it may come as a surprise that he suggests in the post that he's already planning his return.

Hatton on Browne's future

Promoter Ricky Hatton has already commented on his future, though without giving too much away.

"Lucas Browne needs to take some time out and we can talk about next steps in good time," he said, per Sky Sports.

"I'm his promoter but boxer to boxer he will know there are some things he would want to do differently I'm sure, but that is a conversation for another day.

"For now it is a case of congratulating Dillian Whyte on his performance and wishing Lucas a speedy recovery.

"Lucas is well. That is the most important thing in all of this. I would like to thank all the medical staff at ringside and the Royal London Hospital for their care of Lucas.

"Also the BBBoC who I believe are the best in the world when it comes to boxers safety. Matchroom and Dillian Whyte's camp also deserve credit for the way in which they handled the immediate aftermath of the fight."
