When it was confirmed on January 6 that Liverpool had reached an agreement to sell Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, Kopites were understandably concerned.

It was a case of déjà vu for the Reds, who were once again being forced to sell one of their best players having previously failed to convince Raheem Sterling and Luis Suarez to stay.

However, any fears that Coutinho leaving would negatively impact Jurgen Klopp's side have quickly evaporated.

Since the Brazil international departed, Liverpool have lost just three games, progressed into the Champions League quarter-finals and cemented their place in the top four.

Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane certainly don't seem to have missed Coutinho judging by the fact they've scored 26 goals combined in the meantime.

Even Klopp has recognised that Liverpool may be stronger without Coutinho by saying they're more unpredictable now.

"Coutinho was a very dominant player in our game and when we were not at our best it was always a good idea to give him the ball, maybe he has an idea," said the German recently.

LIVERPOOL BETTER OFF WITHOUT COUTINHO

"But it was always clear when Phil didn't play we had to do the job differently, to put responsibility on different shoulders and spread it between the players.

"On a good day it makes you more unpredictable if you don't have this dominant player, but on another day you miss a player like that."

So does Coutinho miss Liverpool? In all honesty, probably not, given he's playing alongside Lionel Messi and Suarez and on course to win La Liga with Barcelona.

But does he at least like the chant that Liverpool fans made up about Salah, Mane and him leaving the club? Absolutely not.

Just as a reminder, here's how the song goes: "Salah, Mane Mane, Roberto Firmino, and we sold Coutinho."

In the video below, following Tuesday night's 1-0 win over Germany, Coutinho was asked by a fan if he likes the song - and his response? "No," before storming off.

Not a fan, Philippe? Clearly the 25-year-old doesn't like how Liverpool fans have already moved on from him.
