Johnny Manziel has made it clear in recent months that he wants to return to the NFL. He spent two seasons in the league after being drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2014. Coming out of college, Johnny Football was expected to be one of the future star quarterbacks of the NFL. The buzz around Manziel continued onto the 2014 draft, where he was taken as the 22nd overall pick by the Browns. Despite being tipped to become a future great, in two seasons with Cleveland, Manziel failed to establish himself as a regular starter. He only made 15 appearances in two years - which was perhaps partly down to his behaviour both on and off the pitch. During the 2014 pre-season, Manziel was fined $12,000 by the NFL for an offensive hand gesture - and shortly after, Brian Hoyer was named as starting QB for the regular season. In 2015, after showing a noticeable improvement in his play and being named the Brown's starter, Manziel was then demoted to third-string after videos showed him partying during a bye-week. But it wasn't just behaviour that held Manziel back either. He suffered a number of injuries during the two seasons he spent in Cleveland, before being released in March 2016. Manziel dropped out on the NFL following his release but spent the last few months of 2017 flirting with the Canadian Football League but didn't sign a contract with any team. Instead, he's spent the first few months of this year building towards a return to the NFL and this week, took another step in the right direction. He elected to throw at Texas A&M's pro day, returning to the college that gave him his first break into the league. Manziel impressed by showcasing his Heisman Trophy-winning playmaking skills once again for the Aggies and threw a number of passes to draft prospect Christian Kirk. The now 25-year-old was able to show what he could do in a range of situations and even got to try out his deep passes. To make things even sweeter - he did it in front of scouts from all 32 NFL teams. And his actual performance in the pro day might not have been the only thing that has got teams interested this week.

In the warm-up, Manziel decided to try some trick shots and attempted to hit the crossbar with three throws. He managed to hit it on two out of his three attempts, missing one while throwing on the move.

Manziel's trick shots help prove that he still has impressive accuracy after a year out of the NFL.

And with a number of teams looking to pick up QB's in the off-season, it may not be long before we see Johnny Football back in the league.
