Over the past week, one of the biggest stories in the WWE has been the possible return of Hulk Hogan to the company for the first time in years, and with WrestleMania just around the corner, many fans are putting two and two together and are believing this is where he could come back.

Recent reports have stated that Hogan and WWE officials have been in talks over a possible return to the company. WWE confirmed the report in a statement, as they said: "We have had discussions with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan) about how he can help others learn from his mistakes, however, he is not under any contract with WWE."

The Hulkster is also scheduled to appear at Thursday's premiere for HBO Sports' Andre the Giant documentary, which WWE helped with. This will be his first appearance at a WWE-related event since his firing back in July 2015. Many fans have wondered if this appearance will lead to another at WrestleMania 34 next weekend in New Orleans.

Hogan was asked on Twitter this week by a fan if he will be watching WrestleMania this year, to which he replied: "Yes sir I will be on the beach watching Wrestlemania on the WWE network brother HH."

If Hogan was to appear at this year's Showcase of the Immortals, it would be his first WWE appearance since he was fired by the company in July 2015 after a controversial sex tape was released showing him making racial slurs.

Since then The Hulkster has been slowly rebuilding his relationship with the company to a point where now several WWE officials are open to him returning. Recent rumors have even suggested that he could replace Daniel Bryan as SmackDown Live's general manager later this year.

If Hogan was to appear at WrestleMania next weekend, it would be his first WrestleMania appearance since WrestleMania 31 when he reunited with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash as the nWo, appearing in Sting's corner in his match against Triple H, who himself had D-Generation X in his corner, consisting of Billy Gunn, X-Pac, Road Dogg, and Shawn Michaels.

The Hulkster will likely return to the WWE at some point in the future. He's such a draw that WWE can't keep him away forever. However, whether or not many WWE fans, superstars, sponsors, and officials alike will be happy having him back in the company is a different question.
