Anthony Joshua spoke live to a fleet of media in attendance during a press conference in England just a couple of days prior to his clash with WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker.

The reigning IBF and WBA title holder had his say on the upcoming unification match to be held at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

Although, the main highlight of his interview with FightHype.com was his comment on Parker's elbow injury.

The New Zealander has claimed that due to his elbow surgery, he might actually come into the fight stronger than before, citing it as a "secret weapon".

When the reporter asked Joshua about the injury, he said: "I am gonna blast in the elbow. What was it, left one?"

"You should never give away your injuries man, rule number one in the sport industry. Don't talk about your injuries."

Joshua stated that he was pleased to know about Parker's injury so that he could focus on it citing it as a "weakness".

On being asked whether he was happy to know about the elbow surgery, Joshua said: "Yeah, it's a weakness."

Needless to say, the man from Watford will be confident heading into the contest, especially with this piece of news on hand.

Parker had surgery on both his elbows two months following his majority decision victory against Hughie Fury, Tyson Fury's cousin.

With the surgery having happened in November last year, the man from New Zealand has had a few months to recover and get back to training, but after openly discussing it in front of 'AJ', he may face a bombardment of attack onto said elbow.

For some reason or another, Parker decided to open up about his injuries, so don't be surprised if come Saturday night, Joshua targets his opponent's elbows throughout the fight.

Advantage Joshua?

Sky Sports Box Office will exclusive show the Anthony Joshua v Joseph Parker unification fight on 31 March.
