Upgrade your Performance Shop
On the subject of upgrading your Shop - do it. And do it regularly.
This is the place to service and upgrade your cars. And the better your cars, the more success you'll have racing.
But to upgrade your vehicles, you'll first have to upgrade the Performance Shop. You can improve your car's engine and gearbox after the first race. But to customise anything else, you'll need to build specific workshops.
And to do that, you'll need to expand your garage. Keep in mind - like most apps - building and upgrading takes time, so put the groundwork in early.
Race smart
To truly master Gear.Club and advance through the game, you're going to need to win races. And to do that, you'll need a good strategy.
We asked Henrik Christian Drue, one of the world's best Gear.Club gamers, for his advice.
"To get the top lap times learn exactly how your car of choice handles and apply that knowledge so you can exploit its full grip potential when entering and exiting a corner," he said.
"Also learn the ideal racing line, and remember that the section after the corner sometimes is more important than the corner itself, thus it may be required to sacrifice entry speed into the corner in order to carry more speed out of the corner and the following straight line.
"Finally, many mobile racers have automatic gearboxes, familiarize yourself with the cars gear ratios, by doing so you may be able to avoid a time consuming and unnecessary downshift during a corner, which will only lose you speed and time."
Log in daily for rewards
Like most other mobile games, Gear.Club offers players the chance to earn rewards just by logging in.
Obviously, they start small, with a little extra cash and gold offered for the first few days. But logging in for seven consecutive days is what you should be aiming to achieve.
All you have to do is load up the app every day for a week (you don't even have to race) and you will be rewarded with a brand new car. It's really worth doing.
But remember - missing a day will set you back to square one, so make sure you don't forget to log in after day six!
