Bradford's teenage goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin has signed a new three-year deal at Valley Parade.

The 19-year-old, whose current deal was due to expire next month, started in the Bantams' last six matches, establishing himself as the club's number one under manager Peter Taylor.

Taylor signed Lloyd Saxton, 20, last week and the former Plymouth goalkeeper will start the season as McLaughlin's number two.

McLaughlin joined Bradford from Harrogate Town in the summer of 2008 and had to wait 18 months before making his debut against Cheltenham in January this year.
