Veteran striker Scott McGleish has signed a new one-year contract at Leyton Orient.

The 36-year-old, who hit 12 goals last season, has taken up the option of a 12-month extension on his previous deal. Orient manager Russell Slade is now waiting for contract decisions from defender Charlie Daniels and midfielder Adam Chambers.

"Scott McGleish has decided to take the option up that he has got, so he will certainly be with us next season," Slade told

"We are just waiting on two players to get back to us regarding new contracts and those are Charlie Daniels and Adam Chambers. We hope they will decide to stay because they've been terrific players for both the club and for me since I've been here, but they may have other options."

Slade also revealed he is close to completing a deal for an unnamed midfielder.
