The Golden State Warriors were given another injury scare during their win against the Sacramento Kings yesterday, except this time it was a much more serious incident than what we have seen happen to other players this season.Warriors guard Patrick McCaw was taken off the court on a stretcher after he was undercut inadvertently by Kings forward Vince Carter during the last minute of the third quarter of their game on Saturday.McCaw spent 10 minutes lying down on the hardwood while being treated to by medical staff after the collision with Carter before he was taken off the court on the stretcher with his neck stabilized to UC Davis Medical Center in an ambulance for further evaluation.According to ESPN, the Warriors provided a promising update later on Saturday, as they said a chest X-ray and CT scan on the guard came back clear and that he will undergo an MRI after what was a very scary moment.Carter said after the game: "I just hope he's OK. I play this game because I love it and enjoy it, not to see young guys get hurt. He has a bright future. I just hate to see it."Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said of the incident after the game: "It was really scary. He was in a lot of pain, laying on his back. ... It's scary stuff. It's terrifying. That's all we're thinking about. We just hope he's OK."When McCaw was taken off the court, he was given a standing ovation by those inside the Golden 1 Center, and the players from both teams huddled together for a prayer. Carter described what went on in the huddle. He said: "Said a prayer for him, you know, because he didn't want to be there, you know what I mean? So just a bunch of good guys doing the right thing."

It's difficult to watch the replay of the incident and suggest that Carter did the action against McCaw on purpose. Both Kevin Durant or Draymond Green believe the Kings star injured their teammate by accident.

The Warriors were able to close out the game and leave Sacramento with a 112-96 win, but all thoughts will be with McCaw. Hopefully, he is able to return to the court and play again soon.
