With WWE looking to make WrestleMania 34 one of the biggest events in recent memory, it comes as no surprise that the company has booked some blockbuster matches to take place next Sunday inside of the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Despite some bitterness surrounding the match, Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns is one of the many stellar contests set to take place, with the Universal Championship on the line. AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura is the other big title match taking place, with fans buzzing that WWE finally pulled the trigger on giving us this dream match at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

STACKED CARD

It doesn’t end there either. All eyes will be on Ronda Rousey as the global star teams up with Kurt Angle to battle Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. It’s expected that John Cena is going to battle The Undertaker, Daniel Bryan is finally returning to the ring and Charlotte Flair battles Asuka.

The list can go on for a while. So, it's clear that there’s a genuine chance that WrestleMania 34 could potentially go down as the greatest in history, based on the matches we’re going to be watching.

Amidst all of the excitement, something that has been quietly flying under the radar is the running time of WrestleMania 34. WWE has now released their Network schedule for WrestleMania weekend and it could go down as the longest WrestleMania in history.

At the moment, the kickoff show is locked in for a two-hour time slot, which is what the company usually does for the huge events like ‘Mania, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series and SummerSlam. With a two-hour time slot here, it could be likely that at least three matches take place before the main card, but that won’t be confirmed until closer to the day.

RUNNING TIME

For the main card, the WWE Network schedule has the show going from 7:00 PM (EST) up until midnight - making the main card a five-hour event if it does the distance. This looks likely to happen, as the main card of WrestleMania 33 - which culminated in The Undertaker losing to Reigns - lasted approximately five hours and 10 minutes.

However, the event in Orlando had 13 matches in total. With Cena vs. The Deadman yet to be announced, this will take this year’s total to a staggering 14 matches, making it much more likely that the main card will last longer than the five hours.

If you’ve been able to keep up with the math, then this year’s WrestleMania event could last an incredible seven hours at a minimum in order to accommodate each match. While we shouldn’t really complain as we’re getting amazing value, it’s clear that it could potentially have a negative effect towards the latter stages if the fans aren’t as invested by sitting there for so long.
