The Golden State Warriors may have managed to pick up another win on Saturday night against the Sacramento Kings, but much of their focus from the game will be on Patrick McCaw, who picked up an injury that forced him out of the rest of the game after a nasty fall.

The Warriors guard was taken off the court on a stretcher after he was undercut accidentally after taking a shot by Kings forward Vince Carter during the last minute of the third quarter of their game yesterday.

McCaw was down on the floor of the court for 10 minutes before he was taken off on a stretcher with his neck stabilized. He was taken to UC Davis Medical Center in an ambulance for a chest X-Ray and a CT scan, both which came back clear.

He will have an MRI on the area injured soon, but there has been a mixed reaction by some NBA fans to the incident, as some believe Carter's collision with McCaw was no accident.

However, Warriors stars Kevin Durant and Draymond Green have both said they believed the incident was an accident. KD added as well that nobody in the team's locker room believes the Kings star intentionally injured the Warriors guard on the play.

Durant said after the game to ESPN: "I know Vince's spirit and his heart. I don't believe it was intentional at all. It looked like he was just caught in the middle of the play and wanted to move out of the way, but Pat was coming so fast. It was just an unfortunate play. Nobody in our locker room thinks Vince did that on purpose."

Green added: "Vince is not that type of guy. He's never been that type of guy. Freak accidents, things happen. A guy jumps and he didn't touch him much, but if you're as high as you can jump, you lose your balance easier. I know that was tough on Vince.''

It's difficult to watch the replay of the incident and suggest that Carter did the action against McCaw on purpose, as there isn't a lot of evidence in the replay to support that case. Many NBA fans will just be hoping that the guard is able to make a quick recovery from whatever injury he may have and return in time to play for the Warriors in the playoffs.
