Anthony Joshua is a very popular man in England right now.

The 28-year-old Londoner unified the WBA, IBF, IBO, and WBO world heavyweight titles with victory over Joseph Parker on Saturday night in front of 80,000 fans in Cardiff.

Joshua beat the New Zealander via a unanimous decision with the judges - perhaps a little generously - scoring it 118-110, 118-110, 119-109.

Everything is going right for Joshua right now, but he demonstrated that he is still one of the most down to earth boxers around before the fight.

Joshua showed his class in the ring against Parker, but he was also being applauded on social media for his behaviour before the bout.

Whilst fans were filling up the Principality Stadium, Joshua was outside showing his humble nature to police officers who escorted him to the event.

Joe Henderson-Jones, Community Safety Partnership Chief Inspector at South Wales Police, shared a tweet which shows Joshua shaking the hand of a policeman.

He wrote: "With absolutely no expectation or need to do so @anthonyfjoshua shows what behaving like a true champion is all about, showing a huge amount of humility to personally thank the 4 @SWP_Roads officers for getting him to @principalitysta ready for #JoshuaVParker #champion #respect".

As a result of his win over Parker, Joshua's boxing promoter Eddie Hearn already appears to have begun negotiations with Deontay Wilder ahead of a summer super-fight.

The 32-year-old American is desperate for a money-spinning fight with the former Olympic champion - and his co-manager Shelly Finkel said they would come to the UK to fight.

"We want to make it public that Deontay wants the fight, and we are prepared to come over, or meet here and get the deal done," Finkel said, as per The Telegraph.

"Deontay is ready to sign and come to the UK to fight this summer.

"Assuming it will be Wembley Stadium in the summer, we are ready, and if they are ready as they say they are, we want to get it done. We want the fight, they want the fight, the public wants the fight. There is nothing to stop it going ahead."
