Chelsea have had a quite disastrous season.

Antonio Conte performed heroics in his first season at Chelsea but he has not been able to replicate that success this term.

After finishing second behind Roma in Group C of the Champions League group stage, The Blues crashed out of the competition in the last-16 after being handed a tough tie against Barcelona.

They look set to miss out on qualification for next year's edition after a poor season in the Premier League, with Conte's side currently eight points off the top four.

Chelsea are still in the FA Cup and have a great chance of progressing to the final at Wembley in May, but even if they emerge triumphant it would still have been an extremely disappointing season.

UNCERTAINTY LOOMS OVER NINE PLAYERS

To make matters worse for Chelsea, a number of their players face uncertain futures.

In fact, according to the Telegraph, the west London club are concerned over the futures of as many as nine players.

A lot has been said about Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois; and it remains a possibility that both players will leave for Real Madrid in the summer.

That would be terrible for Chelsea.

As well as Hazard and Courtois, there are also concerns over a host of other first team players.

Cesc Fabregas, Pedro, Gary Cahill, David Luiz and January signing Olivier Giroud will all have only one year remaining on their contracts in the summer, and some may well be departing from Stamford Bridge in a couple of months time.

Michy Batshuayi and Kurt Zouma, who are both currently on loan, also face uncertain futures. The club will wait until the summer when the club's managerial situation is resolved to make a decision on the duo.

Both are unwilling to return to the substitutions' bench, meaning unless they are given first team assurances, it is likely that they will both seek a transfer away.

With so many players facing uncertain futures at the club, it could be an interesting summer for Chelsea, with multiple incomings and outgoings a distinct possibility.
