The go-home show for WrestleMania is the WWE's last chance to sell you on their biggest pay-per-view of the year and all of the Red brand's major feuds featured on the broadcast.Would Roman Reigns finally teach Brock Lesnar a lesson? Would we find out Braun Strowman's tag team partner? Would the Undertaker actually show up?With so many questions and such little time to find out the answers, the WWE creative team had a job on their hands. As it turned out, only more questions would pop up by the end of the night.Let's get stuck into the action and see how we rated the last Raw before the Grandaddy of Them All in New Orleans.

Stephanie McMahon & Triple/Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey Q&A

In a bid to drum up interest in the mixed tag match at the Superdome on Sunday, the WWE opted to have Jonathan Coachman mitigate a Q&A session between the two teams. The early statements and answers to the fan provided questions - which were insanely generic, obviously - didn't do anything for the rivalry at all. That was until the closing stages.

After Stephanie and Rousey traded verbal jabs - of which Rousey managed to fluff - Triple H cheap-shotted Angle with a microphone leading to Rousey grabbing him by the throat. In response, Stephanie picked Rousey up and dumped her through the table, leaving the heels to stand tall.

If it wasn't for the stuttering moments that plagued the beginning of the segment, the rating could have been higher.

7/10

Bayley v Sonya Deville

Bayley and Sonya Deville had a bit of a nondescript match that didn't have many standout moments at all, to be honest. It was all about hyping the Women's Battle Royal on Sunday, which it was subsequently revealed will be on the preshow with the Andre the Giant Battle Royal and the Cruiserweight Finals between Mustafa Ali and Cedric Alexander.

The real drama came after the match. After Bayley snatched a win, Absolution came in the ring to beat down the Hugger only for Sasha Banks to make the save. The Boss wanted her hand raised and as a result, for the second week in a row, Bayley and Sasha came to blow. That allowed Absolution to come back in the ring and finish the segment on top.

The Battle Royal should really have Bayley and Sasha as the last two women standing and peeling back the layers of their relationship is fun right now. Unfortunately, the match lacked action.

6.5/10

Finn Balor v Seth Rollins

Ahead of the triple-threat match for the Intercontinental title on Sunday, two-thirds of the participants battled it out to gain some momentum. The champion, The Miz, sat in on commentary and gushed about how much he adored his new baby daughter - it was actually hard to hate him!

Balor and Rollins really put on a clinic. These two left it all out there with just six days to go before WM34 and it was one of the best matches on Raw television in 2018, easily.

9/10

The Bar vs Braun Strowman's mystery partner

The Bar made their way to the ring to cut a promo on Braun Strowman when the Monster Among Men appeared and insisted he would tell who he partner was, if they agreed to face him right now.

After Sheamus and Cesaro acquiesced to his demands, Strowman went backstage and then re-emerged as Brains Strowman, his twin brother. The Bar initially put a beating on the big man before Braun finished the segment standing tall. Backstage, Curt Hawkins attempted to convince Braun that he could be his partner, but he got thrown through a wall for his trouble.

7/10

Matt Hardy V Goldust

This was a sprint of a match that was purely put on to promote the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. In fairness, if these are the two talents to showcase, it's not exactly a stacked field.

However, Hardy came away with the win with a Twist of Fate and then approached the trophy to shout "procure, procure, procure."

5/10

John Cena promo

John Cena has been calling out The Undertaker for weeks and this was his very last try. Cena cut a great promo putting over Rusev Day, Elias, the Intercontinental title match, all women in the WWE, AJ Styles and many more and despite getting the Atlanta crowd seriously fired up - and they were a hot crowd all night - the Undertaker no-showed once again.

It's hard to not feel like the WWE have dropped the ball here. The match is almost certainly happening, so it's weird to leave this cloud of uncertainty hanging over it. Although Cena did his best, he's handicapped by the outcome.

7/10

Elias v Heath Slater

Elias was playing to the crowd like he usually does before he had a very quick match with Heath Slater. This was literally just to give Elias something to do on the show, but the rising star did say he'll give his "greatest performance of all-time" on Sunday, fuelling rumours that he will have some kind of musical interaction with The Rock.

Everybody loves Elias, but there wasn't nearly enough time here to tell a story, despite his best efforts to look aggressive.

5/10

Nia Jax interview

The WWE have chopped and changed how they want the audience to perceive Nia Jax. One minute she is an unstoppable monster, the next, she is a deeply emotional woman who seeks to be accepted.

It's ok for anyone to be vulnerable and the WWE obviously has close ties to anti-bullying campaigns, but Jax finished the segment by insisting she will sway Alexa Bliss like a bug during their Raw Women's Championship match on Sunday. Hmmm. There was a little bit of a disconnect with Jax and the emotion she was trying to convey during the interview segment, she suits an angry, scolded woman better.

6/10

Alexa Bliss and Mickie James vs Dana Brooke and Asuka

Dana Brooke was the star of the show in this match. The statistician for Titus Worldwide sold her ass off during the bout before giving Asuka got the hot tag and, ultimately, getting her team the win. After the bell, Bliss and James attacked Asuka before Jax's music hit.

Jax went right after Bliss, but the Goddess managed to escape. James attempted to take it to Jax, but she got a Samoan Drop for her troubles. Jax stared down Bliss to close out the segment leaving fans to hope she finally gets her hands properly on Bliss on Sunday.

7/10

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns face-to-face

Earlier in the night, general manager Kurt Angle had begged both Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns to keep things cool tonight to preserve the main event for Sunday. Both men seemed to almost belittle Angle, so he chose to have Raw superstars keep the men apart.

As we know, that never tends to work. After Heyman delivered a textbook, brilliant promo, the Big Dog made his way to the ring with the Raw superstars stepping aside in light of some of Heyman's comments. Reigns would hit Lesnar with five Superman Punches only for the Beast Incarnate to land one F5 that left The Guy laying.

Heyman did say in his promo that if Lesnar lost, fans would never see the pair of them on Monday Night Raw ever again. With Lesnar's continued upper hand, it seems as if Reigns will win Sunday. It's unfortunate that his five of his finisher has been made to look like it's not even one F5.
