Chelsea are interested in Real Madrid right back Sergio Ramos, according to Spanish daily Sport.

Ramos' future has come under scrutiny recently in the light of Jose Mourinho's very public chase of Inter Milan's Maicon.

Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly keen to take advantage of the uncertainty and offer Ramos a route out of Madrid.

Former Chelsea boss Mourinho, though, is thought to want to keep the Andalucian and move him to the centre of defence, the position he started his career at the Bernabeu in.

According to the Spanish paper, the Londoners are willing to offer €30 million (£25 million) to capture his signature but Real are thought to be holding out for more, having paid Sevilla @28 million five years ago.

Mourinho apparently wants to bring no less than four Premier League stars to England, including former charges Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard while as many Real players have been linked with moves across Europe.
