It looks like Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks is putting together a late surge to try and overtake Houston Rockets' James Harden for the MVP award this season after a dominant performance against the Boston Celtics last night. The Greek Freak put on a show on Tuesday to help his Bucks defeat the Celtics 106-102 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, as he scored 29 points with 11 rebounds and six assists. He also had a steal, two blocks, and was 11-of-22 shooting from the field.Following the win over their Eastern Conference rivals, Milwaukee is now just one more win away from securing their spot in the playoffs for the second season in a row, and Giannis has played a big contribution towards making that happen, especially in this game.First off, the forward had two fantastic dimes during the game to his Bucks teammate Eric Bledsoe, and it was these plays that showed the world that the Bucks can compete with the best teams in the conference, giving them hope for the postseason.

However, The Greek Freak had an even better play at a time when Milwaukee needed him the most, as the clock ticked down to zero in the fourth quarter. With just under a minute to play in the game, Celtics' Jaylen Brown had possession of the ball and was driving towards the Bucks' basket.

As he jumped up in the air for his shot, Giannis was chasing him down from behind and swooped in for a clutch chase-down block on the Boston forward to make sure that his side picked up an important victory in their own building.

Antetokounmpo was pleased with his team's performance on Tuesday and believes this type of display shows the Bucks can match up and compete against anyone in this season's playoffs if they qualify, as he said to ESPN: "I think we match up well with them. It doesn't matter really who we're going to see."

As for the key block at the end of the game, The Greek Freak said: "Tough? I've been doing it since I was a little kid, so I really didn't even think about it. Sometimes it can be (goaltending) and sometimes not. Thank God tonight it wasn't."

The Bucks play next when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night.
