Tottenham Hotspur have shown interest in Juventus striker Vincenzo Iaquinta again, according to the player’s agent.

Spurs are looking for a new striker with experience of European competition to boost their ranks as they prepare for their Champions League campaign next season.

With just Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch likely to stay at White Hart Lane, Harry Redknapp is on the look out for a couple of hitmen.

Iaquinta’s agent Andrea D'Amico told TuttoMercatoWeb: “Iaquinta could be making a new life for himself in England with Tottenham.”

He also confirmed, however, that Roma and CSKA Moscow are interested in the Juve man.

Spurs are likely to be short of options up front, with Roman Pavlyuchenko wanted in Russia as well as Stoke City while Aston Villa are keen on Robbie Keane.

Another option for Redknapp could be Eidur Gudjohnsen, who has returned to Monaco after a successful loan spell in North London.
