The Oklahoma City Thunder suffered another loss last night to the Golden State Warriors, despite the fact that they have a team that should be up there competing with the Warriors and the Houston Rockets at the top of the Western Conference.

The Thunder lost 111-107 to the Warriors at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City on Tuesday night, even though Russell Westbrook finished the game with 44 points, 16 rebounds, six assists, two steals, and shooting 15-of-26 from the field.

Simply put, no one else on the Thunder was able to keep up with Westbrook in order to give the team a chance of defeating the current reign NBA Champions. Paul George came the closest with a 20-point display, but even he didn't have a great night.

George finished the game with 20 points, eight rebounds, and two assists, but he was also only 5-of-19 in shooting from the field, which isn't good enough for a player of his standard. Shooting like this in the playoffs in a few weeks time could mean that the Thunder doesn't progress past the first round.

The small forward recognized this after the loss, as he said to ESPN that he has been struggling with his shooting throughout his career and he needs to figure it out so that he can help Westbrook secure the result in future games for the Thunder.

George said: "There's something mechanical in my shot. I've had struggles throughout the season and my career of shooting, but it's all just been about not making shots. I don't know what it is. It feels funny. Shooting the ball feels funny. So I'm going to work with the trainers and try and figure that out. But I don't feel myself shooting the ball right now.

"It's just my shooting, period. I don't know what's stiff, what's tight. Something's going on in my shooting."

He continued: "I take it on myself. We've got to do a better job of helping Russ.

"[Westbrook] was great. He was great. He took it to another level, a level those guys didn't have an answer for. It's frustrating when we see that and notice that and we can't help him by making shots and putting the ball in the basket."

George believes a way which the Thunder can improve is by pressing their opponents more, as he said: "We're not pressing. We're not pressing. I know what I can offer, what I can do in this league. I'm not pressing. But it is frustrating, more than anything, it is frustrating to not be able to carry our own weight and help in those moments.

"That goes along with myself not helping Russ secure the win tonight. If I make shots and I put that pressure on them, we win this game tonight."

The Thunder plays next against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday.
