Port Vale boss Micky Adams is closing in on the signing of two unnamed players as he continues to reshape his squad for next season.
Adams, who guided the League Two club to a 10th-placed finish last season, has offered deals to a striker and a attacking utility player but is keeping their identities close to his chest.
The former Brighton chief is keen to bring in some fresh faces to ease the pressure on striker Marc Richards and he told The Sentinel: "No signings are imminent, but we're talking to a striker and a utility player.
"We had a reasonable goal return from everybody last year, but we need a striker to back up Marc Richards by scoring a favourable amount of goals.
"We've got potential in Sean Rigg, who I believe will score goals for us, but we still need somebody who is going to get between 15 and 20 goals to help Richards."
