The famously monosyllabic Kimi Raikkonen showed once again his disdain for media duties with a typically terse reaction to a seemingly innocuous question ahead of this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix.

Known as the 'Iceman', partly for his coolness under pressure and also partly to his 'icy' demeanour in the paddock, most notably with members of the media, Raikkonen's reliably grumpy persona has assumed an endearing status in the hearts of motor racing fans over the years.

The veteran driver known for living life by his own rules once famously walked off the track when his car broke down during the 2006 Monaco Grand Prix and casually made his way straight to the jacuzzi in his nearby yacht.

His career is littered with hilariously blunt responses to the press pack, like the time in 2006 when asked at the Brazilian Grand Prix why he missed a lifetime achievement presentation from Pele to Michael Schumacher, he replied in a deadpan manner: "I was having a s*** ."

A man who was once infamously heard on race radio telling his team to "leave me alone, I know what I'm doing," is clearly not one to suffer fools gladly, and it is apparent that for him, most members of the media fall squarely into that category.

In the build-up to the the upcoming Grand Prix this weekend, he was asked what appeared a reasonable question about what things he might change within the sport if he had the power.

The Flying Finn simply narrowed his blue eyes and dismissed the query with the detached indifference for which he is known.

"I wouldn't change anything," Raikkonen said.

"I don't have the power so what's the point to waste the time and even think about it? I don't understand.

"What's the point for me? To give you a list, but then I have zero power? We don't make the rules.

"What's the point in even telling and making a story out of it?"

The Iceman as brutally to the point as ever!
