As WrestleMania 34 has got closer and closer over the past couple of weeks and months, WWE fans have speculated over which of the company's biggest superstars from throughout history will be appearing at the event. One of those big names is The Rock.

Some fantastic roles have been suggested for The People's Champion at WrestleMania including performing in a live concert in the middle of the ring with Elias, as well as being Ronda Rousey's tag team partner against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Odds have suggested as well that there is a very high chance that The Rock just shows up in any sort of role at this year's Showcase of the Immortals in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, but the man himself has now revealed his status for the show.

The Great One recently spoke to entertainment reporter Chris Van Vliet alongside Jeffrey Dean Morgan to promote their new Rampage movie. It was here which he was asked if he will be making an appearance at WrestleMania 34 this weekend.

At first, The Rock said: "You will not see me there," but then he joked and said him and Morgan would be tag-teaming on the card. For the time being then, it looks like The People's Champion won't be at WWE's biggest show of the year this Sunday.

However, when it comes to the WWE, never say never, as we've seen countless superstars in the past say they won't be at an event, only for them to then turn up and have a role, even if it's just a small one.

The Rock's busy movie schedule these days makes it difficult for him to have a match at WrestleMania, but we have seen WWE creatively overcome this in the past, such as with The Rock's six-second match against Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32.

This is why many WWE fans still believe The People's Champion could appear at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome this weekend, as he could easily have a rock concert with Elias in the middle of the ring and not get too physical with The Drifter. We'll just have to wait and see.
