Triple H has offered some high praise to one NXT star and that’s Adam Cole.

Cole was with Ring of Honor from 2009 - 2017. During his run with the company, he held the World Championship three times and World Television Championship one time.

Over the last year, it was expected that Cole would sign with the sports entertainment company and would have happened sooner had the WWE and Ring of Honor legal issues not taken place.

The former ROH World Heavyweight Champion had signed with WWE and would be featured on the NXT brand.

As a result of that signing, there were rumors that due to the fact that it was confirmed that he would make his debut at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III last August in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center by sitting in the crowd and being shown on camera.

As soon as WWE started signing former ROH stars like Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly, Cole, who the company has had eyes on for years, was imminent as far as coming in.

Instead of him just sitting in the crowd at the NXT special, WWE had much bigger plans for him.

As seen at the event, Cole beat down then-NXT Champion Drew McIntyre along with Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly after McIntyre's big win over Bobby Roode. Ever since he has taken the WWE by storm.

Cole could be wrestling in two matches at the upcoming NXT Takeover: New Orleans special.

The NXT TakeOver: New Orleans event takes place on Saturday, April 7, 2018, in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Smoothie King Center and will air on the WWE Network.

Tim Fiorvanti recently wrote a piece on Cole for ESPN and in that piece, Triple H offered some high praise to the NXT star. Here is what he had to say:

“I think he plays a very big role, probably, in what WWE will be over the [next few] years. He’s a very talented young man, lot of charisma. That’s the thing that I would say first. Talented in-ring performer, absolutely, but the charisma and the character, that’s there. Great human being, too.

Those are the things that make me happy about his success, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he does with all the things that are coming his way, and how he takes advantage of them”

“The truth is, we can put the opportunity out there, but what’s done with it and where it goes is on the talen, I say that all the time. We just set the table, and you can say whether it was set right or it was set wrong, but we set the table, and they get the opportunity.

Everybody has the chance to knock that opportunity out of the park, and to run with it. He, so far, has. Hopefully he will continue to.”
