Chelsea target Alexandre Pato has refused to guarantee he will stay at AC Milan, alerting a host of teams including Chelsea.

Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti enjoyed a good relationship with the Brazilian striker during his time at the San Siro but Pato had said he would stay at in Italy before.

Chelsea have been linked with Fernando Torres recently but Pato could be a cheaper and more realistic target for the Premier League champions.

Pato, who is currently in South Africa for a Nike charity event, after being left out of Brazil's World Cup squad, said: "Now it is early to say if I stay at Milan.  These things I want to talk only after July 20.

"For my team I'm not even following he market.  I came to South Africa for this charity project for Nike and cheer for Brazil playing my vuvuzela."
