We could be seeing former ECW Champion and former TNA World Heavyweight champion Bobby Lashley back on WWE TV soon.

Dave Meltzer reported last year in an issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Impact Wrestling is pushing the intellectual property and freedom aspects in the sense that talent will be free to work many other places and not have to be exclusive to them while recruiting new talent.

The promotion is selling it that the talents can use Impact to help build their names and also can retain their intellectual property rights.

At the time, it was expected that Bobby Lashley and Ethan Carter III will leave when their contracts are up, and one or both will end up with WWE.

Lashley, who burst onto the WWE scene due to his size and power, made his debut on SmackDown back in 2005, but was released by the company just three years later.

His time with the company ended badly as a six-month layoff prevented him from competing for the final months of his contract, and in February 2008, he was released.

However, he recovered from his injury and made his way to TNA, before returning to the independent circuit in 2010. But he wasn't done with Total Nonstop Action, and he rejoined the company back in 2014.

Well, EC3 made his WWE NXT debut back January and is slated to wrestle at Saturday’s NXT Takeover:New Orleans special on the WWE Network.

Now, just like it’s been reported, Lashley is on his way to the sports entertainment company.

WrestlingNews.co is reporting that Lashley is traveling to New Orleans for WrestleMania 34 weekend. Keep in mind that he’s not advertised for any shows that take part this weekend.

It’s been rumored that he could work with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at he defends his title against Roman Reigns in the main event but that’s unlikely due to Lesnar’s contract expiring and likely going back to the UFC.

Thus, expect him to appear on the flagship show of the sports entertainment company, Monday Night Raw, the night after WrestleMania 34.

What are your thoughts on Lashley signing and returning to the sports entertainment company? Is this a good or bad idea by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon?
