WrestleMania weekend kicked off in earnest at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Friday night with the WWE Hall of Fame. The induction class of 2018 was headlined by WCW legend Goldberg but Mark Henry, the Dudley Boyz, Ivory, Hillbilly Jim, Jeff Jarrett, Kid Rock and Warrior Award recipient Jarius Robertson also joined him. While the arena wasn't quite packed out, the crowd was hot for the recipients and they were given plenty of reasons to cheer. On a night with several legends and current superstars in attendance, there was plenty of nods to the stars of yesterday and appreciation for those of today. Here are the top five moments from the show:

The Dudley Boyz have a TLC reunion with the Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian

Edge and Christian actually inducted The Dudleyz with a typically funny introduction, but the Dudley Boyz were no slouches with their speech either.

With many funny stories on top of putting a stagehand through a table, Bubba Ray and D'Von finished by calling their former Tables, Ladders and Chairs buddies up to the stage for a reunion the fans have craved for years.

Christian pretends to induct himself into the Hall of Fame

One of the most appreciated superstars in recent memory is Christian - no doubt about it.

He had buckets of charisma and gave the fans plenty of memorable moments, but his in-ring work was what made his peers and fans adore him the most.

The former world champion started off his speech to induct the Dudleyz by teasing his own induction and the fans gave him the biggest reaction of the night.

Mark Henry pleads with Owen Hart's widow to put him in the Hall of Fame

If Christian is one of the biggest names to remain absent from the Hall of Fame, Owen Hart is arguably the biggest.

Bret Hart once revealed that the reason Owen has not been inducted into the Hall of Fame yet is because his widowed wife, Martha, doesn't want him to be.

Whatever her reasons are, Henry gave an emotional plea to change her mind that left many in the audience reaching for the tissues.

Jeff Jarrett praises The Miz

Jeff Jarrett gave one of best speeches the Hall of Fame has see in the last decade and despite fans sitting there for nearly five hours, Jarrett got them invested in what he had to say.

At one point, he was talking about how he relished being the intercontinental champion during his time with the WWE and then praised The Miz.

"You're doing the Intercontinental Title proud," Jarrett said. The Miz simply said: "wow."

Goldberg and Paul Heyman slam Roman Reigns

Paul Heyman will represent Roman Reign's opponent on Sunday, Brock Lesnar. In character, the creator of ECW took the chance to take a shot at the Big Dog ahead of their WrestleMania main event.

He said Goldberg was brought back because the WWE didn't have anyone who could believably defeat the Beast Incarnate - something Reigns cannot do.

Goldberg then took his own shot by suggesting Reigns stole his spear as a finishing manoeuvre - even though literally tons of wresters have done it!
