MAN CITY COULD NOT FIGHT BACK

Man City had 20 minutes to find an equaliser after Smalling's goal, but they could not find a way past David de Gea.

That's not through a lack of effort, however.

The Spanish international is widely considered to be the best goalkeeper in the world, and he showed why on Saturday evening with a quite stunning save from Sergio Aguero.

GARY LINEKER TWEETS

Football fans around the world were astounded by the save, including Gary Lineker.

The Match of the Day pundit was quick to take to Twitter after the save, and he wrote just five words about De Gea that summed up the save perfectly.

"De Gea is a joke."

Lineker has summed him up perfectly.

The 27-year-old endured a horrible start to life in Manchester after signing from Atletico in 2011, but he's come on leaps and bounds since.

He's single-handedly won points for his side this season, producing wonder save after wonder save.

It seems that De Gea makes these sort of saves on a regular basis, and for that reason, Lineker's description is apt.
