PAUL POGBA RECOGNISES DE GEA

Paul Pogba will go down as the match winner, but it could be argued that De Gea's role was just as important.

And it seems Pogba recognised that too.

After the game, the cameras pictured the French international approaching De Gea.

The two embraced, with Pogba shouting a number of times 'numero uno'; suggesting his belief that De Gea was the number one goalkeeper in the world.

You can't really argue with him, to be honest.

ANDERS LINDEGAARD SPEAKS ABOUT DE GEA

De Gea briefly lost his starting berth to Anders Lindegaard shortly after arriving in Manchester from Atletico Madrid.

But De Gea would eventually win it back, and he has thrived ever since.

And now Lindegaard has told the Daily Mail how he believes the Spanish international has been 'blessed by God'.

“When he came from Spain he looked like a straw that was standing in the lake, just waving in the wind," Lindegaard said.

"He was so skinny. He must have been 75/80 kilos and when I left he was massive. He's a tall guy, but he's massive and he's well-trained.

"And then I think he's got freak-long arms. If he holds them down he can almost touch his ankles when he's standing straight, which is another dimension to him that he's just been blessed by God."
