What Man Utd fans were tweeting about Lukaku
The former Chelsea and Everton striker joined the Red Devils for £75m last summer and has impressed supporters in his debut season at Old Trafford.
Lukaku has scored 15 Premier League goals so far this season - but he's proved that his game is much more than just that.
He was refusing to celebrate his goals earlier this season but Lukaku's goal celebrations against Man City - despite playing no part in the build-up - captured the hearts of the Man United fan base on social media.
Lukaku's passion has earned him respect from the Man United fans - and his performances on-the-pitch convinced Jose Mourinho to let Zlatan Ibrahimovic leave for LA Galaxy.
He's quickly becoming a fan favourite at Old Trafford.
Guardiola hails Lukaku
“I would never say that he [Lukaku] is not able to play for me," Guardiola said ahead of the derby. "He’s 24 and has 100 PL goals - so not bad, first of all.
"He’s fast, going into the channels, helps to hold the ball up & helps the other guys to make their moves. He’s top. A world-class player.”
Lukaku, who played the full 90 minutes at the Etihad, will hope to celebrate one of his own goals when Man United host lowly West Brom next Sunday.
The Reds are four points above third placed Liverpool and Mourinho wants his players to prove that they are the second best team in the Premier Legaue.
"The team that people think we are, we're not as bad as people say we are," said Mourinho after the 3-2 win.
"What we will try to prove is that we're the second best team in the country."
