Fans of UFC and most sports fans over the world were left shocked on Thursday night when news emerged that the 'Notorious' Conor McGregor lived up to his crazy image by gatecrashing the UFC 223 media event.

The Dublin-born fighter appeared to storm into the event and cause mayhem, as he burst past security guards and looked to throw metal chairs and other various objects at a bus carrying several other fighters and executives.

McGregor's actions caused injuries, and prevented fellow lightweight Michael Chiesa from participating in his proposed fight - as a result of his injuries from the bus attack.

This news certainly did the rounds on social media and had the whole world talking about the Irishman's antics.

Many defended McGregor, admiring his loyalty and bravery, but it's safe to say more were critical of him.

Many called for his arrest, and claimed he should be imprisoned for his random outburst.

UFC president Dana White publicly slammed McGregor, claiming he would be ''sued beyond belief'' and that this incident was a real bad career move for him.

Other famous pundits and fighters also had their opinions, but the one which caught the eye of most UFC and boxing fans was that of Floyd 'Money' Mayweather, who famously beat the Irishman by TKO in a boxing match on August 26, 2017, which was watched by a staggering 4.3 million people on PPV, and a further three million who streamed the fight.

Mayweather, who has enjoyed an illustrious boxing career, has been involved in many verbal clashes with Conor and was asked several questions about his opinion on the incident.

Mayweather told Showtime: “I feel that when you have reached such high status, you have to carry yourself in a classy way.

“When we fought, we both sold the fight and the world loved what we did but outside of the ring you have to be a gentleman.”

McGregor is sure to not take lightly to these comments, and will be expected to reply in typical 'Notorious' fashion, but with many legal enquiries ongoing, fans will surely have to wait for his reply.

However, this will not stop fans getting excited, as they hope for a potential UFC super-fight which would surely rake in a world-record amount of viewers across the world.

After Mayweather stopped McGregor in the 10th round, the Irishman will be desperate for revenge, and in his known fighting environment, he will definitely fancy himself to end Mayweather's unbeaten reign and take the bragging rights back to Ireland.
