Manu Ginobili has been playing in the NBA now for 16 years, but on Saturday night for the San Antonio Spurs against the Portland Trail Blazers, he showed the world that he can still play ball at his age.

The 40-year-old had a fantastic game for the Spurs in their 116-105 win against the Trail Blazers at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, 17 points, three rebounds, an assist, while also being 7-of-7 in shooting from the field, and 3-of-3 in three-point attempts.

LaMarcus Aldridge may have had the most points on the court for San Antonio on the night with 28 points, but it will be Ginobili's performance off the bench that many fans will remember, as he was crucial down the stretch to help his team win on the night.

In a span of 49 seconds, the 40-year-old turned a four-point lead into a 12-point advantage, hitting two 3-pointers, as well as adding a rebound and a steal to his stat line, helping the Spurs maintain the number six seed in the Western Conference.

With another double-digit scoring performance, Ginobili tied Michael Jordan for the most double-digit scoring games (29) for a player aged 40 years or older, according to The Score. He's averaged 8.6 points, 2.5 assists, and 2.1 rebounds in 20 minutes per outing this season.

Ginobili's teammate in Rudy Gay said to ESPN that when the 40-year-old has the ball, you just need to get out of his way, as he's going to find a way to score. He said: "Just get out of his way. Manu finds a way to do it each and every night, even at his age. He's a Hall of Famer, and he showed why tonight."

They now just need a win against either the Sacramento Kings or the New Orleans Pelicans in one of their final two games of the season in order to secure a spot in this year's playoffs, so while the task to achieve postseason basketball isn't too hard to achieve, it's not a given either.

If the Spurs do win one of their next two games, they'll advance to the postseason for the 21st consecutive season. They can also book their postseason spot with a loss on Monday by either the Minnesota Timberwolves or the Denver Nuggets.
