Sometimes you see technical fouls awarded to players for some of the most ridiculous of things, and the same could be said about the technical Chris Paul received after an incident occurred during the Houston Rockets' game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. With around three and a half minutes to go in the second quarter, Paul received a pass from his teammate, Trevor Ariza, just inside of the Thunder's half of the court. He immediately stopped when he received the pass, but Oklahoma's Russell Westbrook came crashing into the back of him while he was trying to defend.Surprisingly, Paul was called for an offensive foul on Westbrook, which the Houston fans inside the Toyota Center couldn't believe. Initially, the point guard reacted the calmest out of everyone on the Rockets team to the foul, but then his emotions kicked in.Paul was not able to keep his emotions in check, as he reacted angrily to the foul, directing a real-life version of the thinking face emoji towards the official, which resulted in him being award a technical foul.

The Rockets would go on to lose the game against the Thunder 108-102, as their defense was unable to contain Oklahoma City's Westbrook and Paul George on the night, who both finished with 24 points apiece.

James Harden, once again, was Houston's best performer on the court, as he finished with 26 points, four rebounds, and nine assists, while Paul ended the game with 17 points, four rebounds, and nine assists.

Despite the loss, Harden believes the Rockets are where they want to be with the playoffs starting in a week, as he said to ESPN after the game: "We're good. We're in a great place right now. We have two more games to close it out and be ready for the playoffs."

With the number one seed already locked up in the Western Conference, the Rockets can afford to relax a little bit in their final two games of the regular season before the playoffs, but they'll still want to be in good form entering the postseason.

They'll be looking to get back to winning ways when they visit Los Angeles to play against the Lakers on Tuesday night. Otherwise, we could see a lot more of the thinking face in the future, except this time it will be from the fans wondering what on earth is happening on the court for the team that has the best record in the NBA this season.
