Burton defender in limbo

Burton defender Guy Branston's move to Torquay appears to have fallen through after the two parties failed to agree personal terms.

The 31-year old was loaned out to the Gulls in January following a lack of first-team opportunities and was in favour of a permanent switch to the south coast.

Branston told the Burton Mail: "I had a great five months of football with Torquay, but I couldn't do a deal with them, so I'm going back to Burton."

Paul Peschisolido only signed Branston last summer but seems keen to offload the former Kettering man, revealing a deal could still be done.

Peschisolido added: "I think he might still be keen on a move to Torquay and maybe we'll be able to do a deal that suits both clubs and the player."
