Manchester United fans are still riding the crest of a wave following Saturday’s remarkable comeback against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.Jose Mourinho’s men came from 2-0 down at half-time to win 3-2 thanks to a brace from Paul Pogba and another goal from Chris Smalling. It was a genuinely astonishing turnaround - United looked on course for a hammering at the break - made all the sweeter by the fact it prevented City from wrapping up the Premier League title.Pep Guardiola’s side will still finish the season as champions of England - they’re currently 13 points clear at the top of the league with six matches remaining - but their party was well and truly spoiled by their local rivals at the weekend.Mario Balotelli was left with egg on his face after posting a tweet laughing at United during the opening 45 minutes. However, he wasn’t the only person who got prematurely carried away on Saturday.Former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys, who is no stranger to a controversial tweet, congratulated City for winning the title after Ilkay Gundogan made it 2-0 to the home side.

Richard Keys' tweet during Manchester derby

“Congratulation @ManCity,” he tweeted. “Thoroughly deserved & it’s been a joy to watch. A moment in history today that will never be forgotten.”

Oh, Richard.

The only surprise is that he hasn’t deleted the tweet yet. It surely can’t be much longer before he does.

Presumably Keys has his mentions turned off because he’s received a significant number of tweets from United fans mocking him since Saturday evening.

City must wait to wrap up the league title

It’ll be a long time before they allow him to forget this tweet.

Following their dramatic victory, United have virtually guaranteed themselves a top-four finish.

Liverpool and Tottenham will push them all the way for second place but Chelsea, who were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham on Sunday, are now 14 points behind the Red Devils with an inferior goal difference.

As for City, well, they will have another chance to secure the league title when they take on Tottenham at Wembley next weekend.
