If it's any consolation to Manchester City fans, their lead at the top of the table is 13 points with just six games of the season left. How sweet it would have been, though, to wrap things up in Saturday's Manchester derby, especially when goals from Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gundogan had seen them storm into a 2-0 lead.Whatever happened in the dressing room at half-time clearly galvanised the Red Devils, with Paul Pogba scoring twice and Chris Smalling right-footing the ball into the back of the net for the winner. The Etihad had been rocking prior to kick-off and throughout the first 45 minutes. By the end, it was the away end making all the noise as Jose Mourinho's men salvaged a modicum of bragging rights. As easy as it is to suggest City were taking their title success for granted, no-one can have blamed them for being presumptuous.Their rivals had been awful and Raheem Sterling really ought to have put them away once and for all when he found himself through on goal.By the end, United fans were singing of "late May in 1999" and while this comeback wasn't quite as significant as their Champions League victory over Bayern Munich, it was yet another reminder that you never, ever write Manchester United off.It seems City had already done that pre-match, having made plans for a fireworks show and drafting in a pyrotechnics company especially to celebrate the title.

This is awkward...

Silverback Event Crew have since deleted their post, but not before it was screenshotted by gloating United fans:

There's only so much satisfaction these supporters can take from the weekend's derby, knowing that their team have merely delayed the inevitable.

Regardless, this was just City's second defeat of the whole league season - the first coming against Liverpool at Anfield in January - and there is nothing that would have said 'power shift' quite like sealing the Premier League against United.

It's actually understandable that the club had procedures in place for the celebrations, but they won't thank the pyrotechnics company for making it public!
