Batista was one of the most feared competitors in WWE for over a decade.“The Animal” had two stints with the company - the first between 2000 and 2010 and a second for a short time between 2013 and 2014.During his time in WWE, Batista was unstoppable. He was a four-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, a three-time World Tag Team Champion and he also held the WWE Championship twice. He headlined WrestleMania on multiple occasions - after winning the Royal Rumble in 2005 and 2014.So it’s fair to say Batista had quite a successful career. However, his departures from the company - on both occasions, became quite controversial. When he first left in 2010, Batista was written off WWE TV after refusing to face Randy Orton to qualify for a shot at WWE Championship against John Cena. Both him and Orton were injured at the time, Batista legitimately so, and therefore he decided to leave the company. He did return for a short spell in December 2013, but by June of the next year, he had walked away for good. This time, he was written off TV after quitting because Triple H denied him a title shot. But in reality, there was another reason behind his exit. In an interview from 2014, Batista suggested that creative differences contributed to his exit, saying that he "did not like the direction the company was going in".  Recently, there has been a lot of talk about the former WWE star and he's been linked with a return to the company. Although, there are some people who don't like that idea because they think that Batista "quit" and "walked away" from WWE both in 2010 and 2014 before his contract was up. "The Animal" was tipped to make a surprise return at WrestleMania, but that didn't happen. However, he did take the time on Sunday afternoon to set those "quitting" rumours straight and confirmed that he never turned his back on the company.

It's a pretty strong response from Batista, who even claimed that he went out of his way to put other guys over - which should be respected.

And despite not making his return at WrestleMania, there's plenty of talk suggesting that "The Animal" could be back in a WWE ring soon.
