Earlier this season, an unlikely feud began between LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Enes Kanter of the New York Knicks. The two had to be separated by referees on the court during a game in November and then the spat continued afterwords. Kanter took exception when LeBron appeared to verbally attack rookie Frank Ntilikina. After the game, James posted a photo of himself to Instagram that showed him standing atop New York’s logo on their center court with a crown emoji, the words “New York” and two hashtags (#myfavoriteplayground and #striveforgreatness).Kanter didn’t appreciate that, as indicated by his immediate reaction"I don't care what you call yourself. King, Queen, Princess, whatever you are," Kanter said right after he saw the photo. "You know what, we're going to fight and nobody out there [is] going to punk us.When made aware of Kanter's comment, James said, "I'm the King, my wife is the Queen and my daughter is the Princess. So we got all three covered.”"We've already got a king; it's Kristaps Porzingis," Kanter said, clapping back once again. "Sorry about that.”On Monday, the Cavaliers took down the Knicks and James unsurprisingly showed up in a big way, dropping 26 points, six boards and 11 assists in the 123-109 victory. But, what showed up in the headlines after the game wasn’t anything that ever shows up in a box score. It’s what James wore on his feet.Completely trolling Kanter and the Knicks, James wore “I’m King” shoes.

It wasn't exactly subtle. He was clearly taking a shot.

This season, James has proved yet again exactly why he is called "King James". For the fifth time in his career, he will finish the year with the team lead in total points, rebounds and assists. No one else in the history of the NBA has done that more than four times.

With the victory, the Cavaliers improved to 50-31 on the year and have gotten hot at the right time once again. That’s bad news for the rest of the Eastern Conference. Until someone dethrones him, James will continue his hot streak at Madison Square Garden, where he has proven to be an absolute menace to the Knicks over the course of his career.
